Pet Stains
When it comes to pet stains and carpet, the most common problem is cat or dog urine. Urine is protein based and can have an effect on dyes used in the rug. The content of the urine, especially if the condition is medical, can make a stain more difficult to remove. You also need to consider the time elapsed since your furry friend left their mark. Some urine spots can develop slowly over an extended period of time. Unfortunately, in some cases the carpet dyes and fibers can be permanently damaged.
Immediate action is necessary when combating with pet stains. For instance, when dealing with beige carpets the urine may chemically react to the blue dyes, leaving behind the red and yellow dyes. The result can be a stain appearing reddish, yellowish, or orange. Besides the unsightly and unhealthy stain problem, especially with cats, is odor. There are a number of household products available to combat odor, but this may only mask or cover up the smell. To ad to the problem, your padding acts as a sponge, in places of high humidity, the odor can easily reappear. It may be unlikely that complete cat urine odor is removed in some cases. In these extreme situations I have additional removal options available.
With Advanced Healthy Home Solutions Professional Process we use enzymes and other solutions that attack the source and effectively bond with cat urine and allow it to be removed, instead of just being masked. This promotes a healthier environment for your whole family, and yes that means Puddles too.
